I need an explanation for what a group can gain by doing this?

Details: A group of people who you compete against start excluding you from the group. You win. They lose most of the time. I have no idea if it has to do with me winning but i think that is part of it. What does the group gain from excluding and ridiculing me?

The group it seems would gain a sense of superiority by excluding you, especially if this group is large in their number.

It takes the competition out of the way and they all will have a more level playing field so that they have a better chance of winning. It is a pride and ego thing. Find a group that is held to a higher standard and can give YOU a challenge.

why do you bother? they seem to be the "sour grapes" type of people, which means, if they cant have it, they ridicule it. seems pretty low. in a way, they're serious about the competition. keep on winning, even by yourself, coz in the end they only have themselves to joke about (that is, if the group dont start breaking up; which they will most probly since none of them is winning).

It makes them feel better about themselves, like they are in control of the situation & are superior to you.

Well, there are gracious losers and there are gracious winners.
