It proves that there are a lot of overranked teams like BC, OSU, Kansas that are way up in the polls that shouldn't be there in the first place. Like you said about last year's BSC Championship game, UF completely dominated OSU. That right there was enough proof to everyone that we need a playoff system in D1A football. We have to find out who the best of the best are and let them play.
I'm glad that BC lost, not only because I'm a Nole fan, but because they didn't deserve to be in their position. The BSC isn't a bad ranking system, but we need more than just the BSC to give us a true, undisputed National Champion!
Great game!! Go Noles!!
VT next!!
Then in 3 weeks....UF vs FSU!!
Can't wait!!

I don't know about the whole south vs north thing but it definitely proves something different from what everyone here is saying:

It proves FSU is better than everyone is giving them credit for. It proves that when 2 key o-line players come back from injury our o-line can hold up again since we don't have 2 freshmen on the line. It proves that when 2 key DEF players (Ball and Fluellen) come back from injury, our defense plays like it should. AND FINALLY it proves that when we aren't jerking around our own QBs, one will step up.

BC was not over-rated, they did not lose that game. FSU won that game and dominated. And it was amazing coaching to throw into space, pull off those trick plays, and rule the time of possession.

FSU has lost 3 games, true. But so has UF. If you think FSU is so bad that this win only proves BC was over-rated....put FSU on your schedule. At least UF has the balls to.

Now I don't think we are great this year, but everyone knew that going in, we had 7 new coaches that have to learn to gel and we are trying to fix a broken system. Every pre-season commentator admitted FSU would be better, but you wouldn't be able to notice it with a tough schedule.

No, it proves that B.C. was overrated, just like everyone thought. This wasn't the first game B.C. struggled in, heck they've struggled in most of their games, and everyone knew it was a matter of time before they went down.

How many more times would UF beat OSU by 27 points if they played 9 more times?

The Big 10 was 2-1 against the SEC in bowl games last year.

Do you really think that App. St. beating Michigan was a testament to the higher quality of football in the South, or a fluke?

If you want to get into the lower levels of college football, Mount Union, a team located in Alliance, Ohio has won 9 national championships since 1993.

What about Nebraska's manhandling of Florida 62-24 in the 1995 NC? If you're going to bring last year's NC into the mix this is fair game.

Over the last 5 years the Big 10 has a winning record in bowl games vs. the SEC.

Oh its great. I was tired of this whole "New England has the best sports teams!". BC college got beat by an unranked and weak Florida State team.

What the hell is "New England"? They just take a bunch of small crappy states and make it into one large crappy area full of the most obnoxious and fair weather fans ever? I'm mean seriously New York, has 2 football teams and 2 baseball teams? Just pick whoever is winning right? The Boston Red Sox, belong to Boston, BC belongs to Boston, you can't just claim them because you're from a general area which was recognized in colonial times. Maine needs to get it's own d**n sports teams.

As far as North and South go, no it's not valid. It's just a football game, anything can happen.

I love how people up North call people from the South rednecks, when the North especially the New England area is full of just as many if not more racists.

GEEZ, Pats fans are takin' this one bad aren't they? Whats really sad is that colleges are actually allowing sports scholarships to players that could care less about their academics, they just want to be on TV, go Pro, make millions and get laid. There are SOOOOOO many good people with decent grades and test scores that cannot afford college, and want to go for an actual degree so they can better themselves and their families...they end up managing a McDonalds, living a modest lifestyle, and taking crap from the JACKASSES of this world just to get by.

What's to argue? The proof is in the pudding. Programs in the South are far superior. Especially when you factor in the SEC and their dominance over the Big Ten. (I don't trust a conference that is unable to count how many members they have.)

It just proves that Boston College was over-rated like I've been saying all along. Does anyone know if Matt Ryan puked this time or if he swallowed it?

All it proved is that Florida St was better than Boston College.

haha..I think you might be reading a little too much into it. BC beat Florida State last year, does that mean they played better ball in New England last year. Kind of a moronic question. You could bring up any game to sway an argument one way or another.
