OK, indian reservations are immune to US laws because they are considered sovereign nations. They have their own police, govt, laws, etc...So, why don't they legalize Mary Jane, and why doesn't the US require a passport to visit a reservation?

The Indian reservations are not fully independent sovereign nations. they have some aspects of it, but not all.

Probably most of what you ask was negotiated under treaty in order to get the level of independence they have now. Which of course could be easily changed should they violate the terms.

As for a passport, even countries with full sovereign status do not always require a passport for travel. Americans in Mexico are not asked to show a passport for instance, and citizens of the EU can travel freely among other member nations. there are many other examples.

Reservations are not sovereign nations and they are not immune to US laws. The FBI is the federal agency that enforces federal law on reservations. So they are not immune. Reservations are more like counties inside a state, with modified local laws. So no you should not need a passport.

I think that MJ is not legal because they haven't found a way to tax it.

As far as Indian reservations are concerned, they keep moving them around and taking land, as needed. How is that sovereign?
