It works but it'll require a lot of effort from both sides. The two of you are responsible to make it work, not just one person. Two things, communication and trust is vital between both sides. If any of them is lacking, then there's a little or no possibility . It all depends on the two of you,if you want to pursue it, then go for it, pray and ensure a no communication barrier. You two can sometimes plan trips to visit each other when you can.

You can say that a long distance relationship is like a test of your "love". It can either break or it can become stronger!
In a relationship u don't just fall in love and that's it, you just keep loving eachother more as you get to know eachother. But in long distant relationships it gets tricky because your sooo far away it's hard to really get to know eachother, so u have to rely on what you do know of eachother to last the distance. Then thru that time of separation u will determine with urself wether what u do know of the person is worth waiting to get to know more of. Or maybe u could end the relationship because of the distance but then wen u meet up again u fall in love again.
'Love' is a very difficult thing, and everyone's love is different so its all up to u on he end! Wether you WANT to make the longdistant love endure/last or not.
I hope i helped u abit with ur question :P

Most of my good relationships are long distance. It is maybe because i love writing a lot. Long distance relationships needs a lot of patience, trust and maturity. U have to maintain an open and constant communication line to make it last. And loyalty is a big thing, cause just a rumor of being infidel would stir up the relationship and leave u breaking apart.

My wife lived in Michigan and I lived in Florida for a year and a half while we were dating. Yes, you can make it work. We would rent the same movie and push play at the same time and watch it together. We even took baths on the phone together. We both had the same cell phone service so we got the 10,000 minutes we talked a month for free. It was real hard but if you love each other enough you'll make it work. Eventually she moved to Orlando and it wasn't long before we got married.

Real love has no boundries, if you let obsticles get in your way and keep them there, then there is no hope. You have to have a mutual thing going on and make plans that are obtainable by both of you. If you are both serious then the distance between you will go away, but it takes commitment by both, not just the one. If your ment to be together then be together!

my hubby and i were long distance before we were married. he was in florida i was in tennessee. we used yahoo messenger to its full potential. we both didn't have any money but if you love someone you can make it work.
we will be long distance again when he gets a new job next spring. (well for half of the year)
don't get discouraged, do what that other person said, put a movie in at the same time, etc. if you truly love each other it will work.
good luck!

i have been in a lengthy distance relationship for a lengthy time period now, and it sucks, yet it is the superb aspect of my existence. in case you fairly love this human being you're in a lengthy distance relationship with and also you experience they're your actual, residing soulmate, there is not any longer decrease to patience. Me and my boyfriend have longed to be jointly for years now and we are nonetheless waiting till the time is strictly accurate (yeah, there is a few tremendous aspects that's preserving us aside..) to be jointly at very last. we are superb associates and percentage each and every thing with one yet another and characteristic the most maximum effective believe inbetween us. All i can say is, even if that's easily actual love, then it is going to very last by something, convinced, something.

A LDR can totally work, if both of you are willing to do the work required to keep it going. I've been in one for 4 years now, we met at 16. Hes in germany and i'm in the states. A LDR takes a lot of communication, trust and honesty. So if you guys can do that then you are off to a good start. Talking is key, you have to make the time to talk to eachother. Webcams are good too because you get to see eachother online, which is better than nothing. Letters are good, because they are more personal and its nice getting a surprise letter. I like to send my bf carepackages, i send him stuff that i know he likes that he can't find in Germany. Good luck, hope i helped. let me know if you have anymore questions :)

i have tried doing this my past relationship..so you think it'll work and you tell each other and yourslef that it will work but during your relationship there is something missing ie, a good night kiss, a hug when you need it, and just a smile everyday..it's quite hard to have a long distance relationship but i do belive that it could possibly be done..let each other know that you are there for them and that you are in it for the long run. try talking to each other about everythging..everything you experienced throughout the day and let them know how much you can't wait fr their next visit.

long distance is like any other relationship but with some extra energy and extra trust but in return we will have extra creativity into showing our affection since our partner is not around.
it also a great way to find out if is it just a lust or love.
can we or can we not is can be only answered by how are we with the trust issue.
