No dude, I don't think the US is bad at all. I've travelled in every Western State and I felt like I was at home. I'm also from Canada though, so obviously I can see some parallels. I"ve definitley learned other than the metric system and currency, there is no difference between Western Canada adn the Western USA.

I have heard anti-American bias here, but I think that just comes from people who have either never been or judge the whole by some.

The people of the US aren't bad. I have family down there and have been in several states. I think that the big problem with US Citizens is that they can't leave the States in the States. Every thing has got to be the "American way" To many Americans. don't look and live like there host nation. they feel that only American laws are the ones they have to follow, American products are the only one everyone must by, American government is the best, and ever one wants to be an American. I am happy that I am a Canadian, I like our politics I like Canadian products. I also like products from other Nation and use them even American. I like Americans they are no better or worse than any other nation.

I lived in both Europe and the US and have family in both.

It is neither the best country (like a lot of people having never left the US think) nor the worst (like a lot of people who have never been to the US think).

At some point, you learn there isn´t such a thing as a universal truth, but more opposed visions and a lack of mutual understanding.

I think the best for every person in the world is to be able to travel around the world and realize in which way we are similar or different.

Its not terrible but its in worse shape than it was pre 911. The dollar is becoming a laughing stock, huge debt is a scary thought to eventually pay back and military moral is low, with many suicides and AWOL.

I have family in West Germany and Belgium, and visit as often as I can, and family serving as missionaries in Africa.

When they visit, or I visit them, they repeatedly tell me how wonderful the US is, but they are not often please with our government. I asked them if they are always pleased with theirs, they just smile and say 'good point'.

On one occasion my Uncle, a life long socialist, told me never to believe what the German press writes because they are controlled by left wing ideologues that only report news that fits their agenda. He told me most Germans in his area think highly of America and it's people.

For such a terrible country, there still seem to be a lot of people who want to make their way here.

There is not a nation in the world that holds more disdain for the US than the Liberals in this country.
