I have been on birth control for about 3 months now. My Gyno switched my pill on the third pack because the pill before that wasn't strong enough. She said that I should get my period during the week of the sugar pills. However, I have my period now and I am smack middle of the week with the active pills and it's heavy...going on day 6...why does this keep happening?! My normal periods should only last about 4 or 5 days and I have never missed a pill and always take it at the same time.

Switching birth control pill brands can mess up the cycle because the body is needing time to adjust. I've had this happen to me a few times.
I am currently on Femcon Fe and I absolutely love it. I would recommend checking with your doctor again to see what they say.
