would you prefer not to observe daylight savings time and why? I have lived in the Midwest most of my life and only when I lived in Northern Indiana, did I not observe daylight savings time. Now I live in an area where it is observed. I don't like it.

I like it because it's nice in the winter for it to get dark sooner (more time to look at Christmas lights :) ...). Then, in the summer, the days are nice and long! I think it compliments the seasons.

We live right on the border of Illinois and Indiana in the Nw part about 80 mi. south of Chicago. The town my husband works in is on Eastern time (indy). Now we are always 1 hour behind him. It used to be at least 6 mo. in the year we were on the same time. I hate it. I wish we as Indiana could all be on the same time. We voted against it, but why vote? We heard the transportation department (trucking) had the final say! I used to work in a warehouse and I understand what they went through but they adjusted to it back then.
