Why is it that when a female slaps/hits a male most people see it as okay and not a big deal, but when a male hits a female it's completely out of order? Is it just me or do you feel that it should be equally bad?

It should be equally as bad.
However, men have a history of beating women because women had always been weaker. Fortunately women have gotten wiser and don't tolerate it quite as often. Now she'll just cut your boy parts off. :)

apart from all of the above answers, i personally think that's because when we think a female slaps a male, it's usually because the male has done something wrong or insulting to her, whereas when we picture or see a man slapping a woman, it is considered "hitting" which is implicating physical abuse. the question of whether the female has wronged him will sometimes, not even occur to a person who sees situation.

No one has the right to hit anyone. It is just as bad for a woman to hit a man, but because woman can be more fragile and most men are more aggressive, I think it is good the way things are. There are still too many men who think women are for cleaning, sex and baring children only, and therefore abuse them (physically and mentally).

cus a man is stronger and more agressive. if a woman hit u or slapped u would u cry in pain no right but if u get hit by a lets say boxer by a free hit in the face it would hurt as hell so thats it. it about respect to moms slap their sons to teach them manners and respect so u would hit ur mom back right??

well male is stronger. and a females are weaker. Neither of them shall hit each other. They should show some respect.

sorry everybody, just because men are more violent and aggressive doesn't make them any tougher or stronger( unless you literally mean they can lift heavier things ). Ive seen a woman give birth....any man who's witnessed that and still thinks they are tougher is either lying, stupid or kidding themselves
