The American Academy of Pediatrics Committee on Nutrition does not recommend goats milk for infants, as it is deficient in certain minerals, especially magnesium.

My cousin was born in Germany shortly after the end of WWII, and with a very meager diet his mother could not produce enough milk. They were fortunate to obtain a nanny goat, and my cousin thrived.

But in these times there are better options.

Vitamite 100 is produced by Diehl. I am unaware of any research done on that product. There may be, I am just unaware of it.

I have not used store bought milk..Well, okay, once, but it was so nasty, no one would drink it..We have however used real goats milk from a lady who milked her goats..Now, that was good stuff!
Also, my sil has adopted two children, and used goats milk instead of formula..She makes a concoction of all sorts of stuff, but goats milk is the base. She really researched the crud out of it and talked with her doc.

Vitamite are ok for babies. My moms and aunts have been giving it to their kids for many years. They add a little to the porridge and spread some on the bread.
