Switzerland. Milk coming from the Swiss Alps is a class on it's own and so it the chocolate made with it. Belgian chocolate has less milk in it and is generally a bit more bitter but still world class.

USA. While it was invented in Switzerland, most European chocolate is still a dark, bittersweet variety.

It was Hershey that popularized milk chocolate.

Oh one of my favourite subjects, in my opinion which is considerable given the subject, you will never get better than Belgium chocolates. They are like a little piece of Heaven.
