If they do Social Services would put them on the risk register and eventually remove them from the family home if there was further risk. Most English Families are renowned for their compassion towards children. They take their kids out with them.Often spending time with them at weekends.Socially families find entertainment to amuse their kids ,sports, dancing, music lessons, swimming etc.Clubs and groups are popular as well.

I have found this Trait in most Countries,The British are no better or worse for neglecting their Children than anyone else. You have only to look at Television or Newspapers to find this out, people are selfish no matter what Country they come from.

Increasing too in my opinion. Parents simply see kids as a must have accessory that they cannot be bothered to look after properly. As a result the Chav is on the rise, spoilt kids run the streets and the parents don't offer any help as they simply throw money at the problem rather than root out the cause of this behaviour.

I have no idea where you are from. But 'Moron' comes to mind.
The way children are treated as slaves, bought, sold and abused in other parts of the world should concern you far more that how the English treat children.

Life expectancy and disease as well as abuse rates in the UK are far lower that many other places

No, baby sitters were always used in my family, seems to me that there are some who don't care. They were probably latchkey kids, so don't know any better.
