He never lied under oath because adultery is not a prosecutable offense. He had all the right to lie, because who you have sex with is nobody else's business, especially not the general publics'. To assert that he broke the law is purely out of political bias and not legal expertise, and to say it shows bad character shows that you know nothing about the political and social climate in DC. Our founding fathers did all the same things, Thomas Jefferson had illegitimate children with one of his slave and Ben Franklin was known to be a womaniser. As a demonstration of how corrupt the prosecution was, Newt Gingrich, the one who went after Bill for this, was having an affair while he was pointing his finger at him for adultery. And Bill's domestic policy is still the best in at least 40 years. I'd much rather have a president getting head in Washington then beating off in Crawford.

Let me start by saying while I do not condone Clinton's actions, the right wing had to get Clinton on something. So, they spent millions of tax payer money to find out our president had a perfectly legal consensual affair...something that never should've been investigated in the first place.

What's truely worse is making a president testify under oath for a CIVIL matter.

All Clinton asked for was a "stay," meaning a delay of the proceedings until after he served his duly elected duties.

But no...the right wing wackos had to drag our president, who holds the single most important job in the world, into court to investigate a legal affair.

No president should ever be taken away from his duties to appear in civil court...period! These cases are delayed everyday, in every courtroom in the nation!

Do you know our Supreme court Justices cannot be taken into civil court while in office, and neither can our Senators?

But the right wing power lusting traitors drag the most important man in the world into civil court!!??

If anyone put a stain on the White House it's the republicans in their incredible lust for power at any cost to our nation.

Personally, I believe the president should have access to all the concubines he wants...just to keep him from getting stressed out and pushing that "button."

It's the republicans who weakened the office of the presidency, not Clinton.

the president of the United States had oral sex with her. She was an intern at the White House. And then when asked under oath at a deposition, he lied under oath that he did not have sex with her.

Technically it's not our business But if a man is not faithful in his relationship with his wife and it goes public, it shows he won't mind doing Americans in and will not be faithful to them either. He Lied under Oath to show just how unfaithful he is...It is an Indicater about his Character...Some people say Hillary should have been on her job. What he did was not her fault. In that she was honorable.

Don't care what he did with Lewinsky. (I think Hillary should have kicked his *** but that is another question) Do care that he lied about doing it when he was under oath at a legal proceeding. That has a name and it is perjury a crime in and of itself.

while the act itself is none of our business, technically, HOWEVER the resulting consequences, from potential blackmail of the President to distort his actions in office, IS our (citizen's) business. Look how many politicians squirm and run when confronted with sexual misconduct. If it was acceptable, then it wouldn't be a problem, but since it is considered a moral and ethical failure, it can affect the person in office and their decisions affecting all citizens. THAT is why it IS our business.

Point 1. If someone wants to cheat on their wife, it's a sign of bad character. I don't like cheaters. They aren't trustworthy.

Point 2. If they cheat on their wife in their own home, that's an insult to their family. If they cheat on their wife in the White House, that's an insult to the American people. I don't really like it when people insult me.

None of this rises to the level of an impeachable crime, agreed. But it's hardly meaningless. It says a lot about the people involved.

No one really cares.....it's just all the republicans can keep harping on to try keeping Hillary from gaining in the polls. It is just more republican rhetoric!

BULL....a president sets a standard for a nation and this is both a sad and sick standard which also generated...

- The only president ever impeached on grounds of personal malfeasance
- Most number of convictions and guilty pleas by friends and associates*
- Most number of cabinet officials to come under criminal investigation
- Most number of witnesses to flee country or refuse to testify
- Most number of witnesses to die suddenly
- First president sued for sexual harassment.
- First president accused of rape.
- First first lady to come under criminal investigation
- Largest criminal plea agreement in an illegal campaign contribution case
- First president to establish a legal defense fund.
- First president to be held in contempt of court
- Greatest amount of illegal campaign contributions
- Greatest amount of illegal campaign contributions from abroad
- First president disbarred from the US Supreme Court and a state court
and some point you have to recognize the obvious..even for an out of control liberal extremist.
