Am I missing something?

Didn't the Dems tell us for the past 7 years that corporations should pay higher taxes?

But, top Dem Rangel plans to cut corporate taxes from 35 % to 30%!!!!

Doesn't this sound like something Cheney and Bush would have told the Dems to do? How funny is it?

Yet, Dick Cheney has already said that Rangel's tax reform is a "bad proposal." The Republicans are determined not to like anything that the Democrats propose regarding taxes.

Rangel's proposal is sound. Rangel's corporate tax reforms are designed to help businesses keep jobs in the US.

Rangel’s proposal is part of a larger tax bill that would also include a repeal of the Alternative Minimum Tax, an expansion of tax breaks for moderate-income families, as well as the reduction of the corporate tax rate from 35 percent to 30.5 percent.

The corporate rate reduction would be paid for by a series of measures to broaden the corporate tax base to ensure that different forms of investments are taxed at similar rates.

No. You are letting Mr. Rangel blow smoke up your nose. Everything in his bill amounts to an attempted tax hike of about one trillion dollars.
Corporations should not pay any taxes. The cost of taxes gets factored into goods and services, so consumers end up paying those taxes. Eliminating corporate taxes would greatly simplify the tax collection process.

That's weird no other answers good question. Isn't Rangel the one who also tries to get the military draft bill approved every year?

It just proves that american parties are obscenely within the pockets of the rich - even those who claim not to be. There is no political representation in the US. There's no point having either an orange or a lemon if you're allergic to citrus.
