Yes (I have an inquisitive mind and inquiring mind had to know if it would boil) and it did boil the contents of the pot.

It seemed to take forever but when when timed only took about 5 minutes. And, my grandmother used to coin the phrase to encourage me to go do something else while the pot boiled.

But, in quantum physics the pot does not boil.

Of course.

As long as the stove is on, a pot is going to boil if you watch it or not (I mean, whatever is in the pot).

YES,AND IT EVEN TOOK LONGER WHEN I ADDED SALT,NEVER PUT IN PASTA TILL THE WATER IS IN FULL BOILING MODE.
