what number other than one (and the number in question) can you divide by and get a whole number? If the answer is none, then it is a prime number.

13 and 17 are both prime because the only two numbers that can go into them which is 1 and itself. So a prime number only has two factors. 2, 3, 5, 7 ,11, and 19 are also prime.

A prime number is a number greater than 1 which is divisible by 1 only like 2,3,5,7,11,13,17, etc.
Hence 13 & 17 are prime numbers.
