Keep your distance from him for a while. Hearing from you every day may just deepen the wound. He needs to see that he can function without your 'love' for a while. Then he can move on. Apologizing is not going to help. What he wants is *YOU* and not your apologies.

You really have nothing to be sorry about by the way.

If a guy loves you and you don't love him back,
there isn't anything you can do but to reject him.
Don't keep on saying sorry,
he knows that you're sorry and it probably won't make him feel any better.
Comfort him and let him know that there is someone out there for him.
Then leave him to deal with it on his own,
as he probably won't want you around him too much at first when you've just rejected him
as he may feel embarrassed and awkward.

there's not much you can say to him at this point. you've already rejected him. the LAST thing a guy wants to hear after that happens is "let's just be friends". i advise that you give him some space for a while, then after a week and a half to two weeks, check in with him to see how he is doing. this will let him know you are still interested in being friends without actually saying it. if he wants to remain friends at that point, he will be nice back to you.

He'll get over it. He was "in love" with a fantasy - and now he knows the reality. Love is a two-way street.

Right now he probably needs space more than sympathy. Besides disappointment there is also embarrassment and being around you right now, even as a friend, is not going to help.

I would suggest writing a letter.. Try to make it not seem original, make it of your own words. Call him, do everything you can to tell him you made a mistake... But dont seem to desperate otherwise in the guys position, it might tend to get anoyying. Remember, guys will seem to forgive and move on, but they never forget, so give it your best shot to make him feel better. Good Luck :)

It is hard to be "just friends" after a love break up...even if just one sided. One person always wants more out of the relationship. Probably the friendship is over too.

The fact is you can't make someone love you when they don't. Then you can't control who you fall in love with either. So be gentle when you break someone's heart because someday, it will be your turn to get your heart broken.

Tell him you love him as a friend but you don't love him THAT way. Good luck.

Rejecting his love, eh? It's not your fault if thats the only reason his heart is broken. Every girl he goes up to isn't going to like him, and he has got to learn that or his heart will be obliterated soon.

Let him get over it by himself, if you push too hard he'll just end up hating you. If you truly want to be his friend let him know that and just leave it alone, if he wants to talk about it then o.k. but don't bring the subject up after it's done and over with.

It's so sad it makes me cry. I could imagine what you'd do to my heart!!!!!

If you're ever in town and want to go and get a Big-Mac meal, I feel your looks can earn you a super-size.
