I live in Ireland. By then it'll be 6 months I haven't seen my family and friends in Germany so I'll go home for 4 days and enjoy the days with my folks.
The only thing that doesn't feel right aboput this plan is that I'll have to leave my partner over here in Dublin. But it's not as bad for him as he'll probably be working and doesn't care a lot about Christmas anyway. And if he doesn't have to work he might go see his family in Holyhead (Wales).
So that's my plan for Christmas.

Drive up to see Mom the weekend before since it's mid week.

I think I'm actually going to decorate the house this year. I haven't in a few years, but I think I will. Heaven knows I have the stuff.

My daughter will probably come over Christmas Day. Do the presents bit, and I'll make lasagna. It'll be a quiet day. I like those.

On Christmas Eve, my family and I go to my Great Aunts house to eat good food. Then we go to church. After that we go to my grandmothers to open presents, and watch the movie " The Christmas Story". Then on Christmas morning my family opens the presents by "Santa". The for lunch we eat this Holiday Soup that my grandmother makes. It is my favorite time of the year, because I get to spend it with my family.

I havent't decieded yet. I would really like to go home for Christmas but my car won't make it and I don't have the money for a plane ticket or anything so I most likely will just stay here.

Now that all my siblings and I are grown and have our own houses in town, my family is doing a Christmas Round Robin. We're starting at my house, having breakfast, and giving our family presents from my husband and me, then to my brothers to open presents from my brother & sister in-law, then to my sisters, and we end at my parents' house. We've never triend it, so I hope it works out well!
