They got most of the revenue from India.With finances from India they controlled other parts of the world. That is why when they lost India they started leaving other colonies.

Partly the revenue from India, partly the tea they harvested from India. Also, India has a rich, vibrant culture which accepted English rule relatively well for a time. The beauty and grandeur of the country reflected well on the British, at least the British thought so.

Brition, used Indias wealth, gold,silver and manpower to build their own world power!! The overpowered,overshadowed, and ran their country into near nothing-ness, by the time they lost India, their empire started to crumble, and is still on the downward run!!!!
