wouldnt a terrorist use lead to defeat detection,if so ,our shipping ports are not really secure are they

with lead being one of our heavier metals avoiding detection wouldn't be as hard as getting it off the ground!!!.

Lead could be used to shield an explosive device which used radioactive elements.

And yes, it could become air-borne - there are planes available which can transport military tanks which can weight 30 to 50 tons each.

And detection of radioactive elements shielded with lead would be very difficult since lead is such an effective natural shield.

So you may not easily be able to detect a nuclear bomb covered with lead.
