Can the setting of the computer or monitor be adjusted so that the pages on the internet adjust and fill the whole of the screen instead of either bing in the middle of the screen, with blank columns at the side, or being to the left or right with the other half of the screen blank?

Web pages are not designed to be viewed on any one screen size. If a webmaster designed his page to be viewed on your wide-screen. Then other visitors with smaller screens would be forced to scroll sideways just to view the page.

Anyways wide screens were originally introduced as an ideal way for displaying two documents or Web pages side by side. For example you can have a YouTube page open on one side of the screen for watching a video. While having a news site open on the other side of the screen to read an article.

If you try to view Web pages that way. You will see that not only will the pages look better. But you will become more efficient at multitasking on different things at the same time.

There are no setting you can change to make the pages widescreen. Most websites are coded with fixed page sizes and that's why they have the spaces on either side. Only websites that use % for column widths will adjust to fill the screen.

If it is a wide screen monitor then select the 16:9 ratio from the graphic card option.

Then right click on the blank space on my computer. And then select properties. Then click select. Then select the screen resolution as 1024 by 768 pixels.

Now u can see all websites as usual.

I doubt it. Most site designers realise that their pages may be viewed in 800*600 on crappy monitors in 3rd world countries as well as the latest widescreen bad boys, so they code the layout for the lowest common denominator to suit all.

Try to adjust your screen size by right click the screen and properties then screen size. You might have it set to low and then if it will not fit your video card/onboard video is probably not going to run the page to the correct size. Thanks

I do try to be nice and get along with others. Sometimes other people are going to talk about me and judge me. I can see in their eyes and I have a little bird that tells me things like this., I change my attitude that wants to get away from them to one that is their friend if I need to be around them but even if I did not need to I want to be kind to others not based on how nice they are . If they are horrible and I cannot take it I will have to get away. A little judging or talking about me I can take it and forgive them. I know that they have to grow out of it and they need me to treat them nice anyway..
