cecilia-WHY ARE U SUPPOSED TO LOOK LIKE MODELS AND CELEBRITIES?????Actually you are supposed not to look like celebs because what they spread today with their looks is totally wrong.Bad example for women...Don't try to look like Kate Moss,better like Beyonce :)

Because bitchy girls and shallow guys like to tell women with big hips that they are fat.
I'm 5ft2 and measure 38 inches around my butt. Considering I have a 26 inch waist and a healthy body fat percentage of 24% this shouldn't even be an issue, yet on this board I had one girl tell me I had 'very overweight hips for my height' and one guy tell me 'I must be fat with hips that size'. After a while you start to believe these people because it beats down on your confidence.
The smallest my hips have been is 36 inches around the butt and at that point they were looking pretty bony. I get sick of girls (and guys) who think you should have 32-34 inch hips, that is something that is not ever going to be possible for me without looking like a concentration camp victim.
I'm glad someone out there is not buying into the hype.

Society peer pressure of fashion and health have us thinking anyone without a pencil thin frame are unattractive!
When the Depression was going on was one time in history.I can remember heavy women had it going on (as far as main stream).Because,they knew that household had food!
And there are people who do like women with no curves.It's beauty in the eye of the beholder!

I don't know, but I am satisfied with what I've got. I think it is OK to exercise if u don't like the fact that you've gained a few kilos, but never liposuction or plastic surgery. I try to take out the maximum of my looks naturally, and I am not too concerned about my looks. Some girls r just insecure and still don't realize they r all beautiful in their own ways.

It's because the media has given us a false interpretation of what perfect means. In the media's eyes, you can be considered perfect if you a have blonde hair, blue eyes, big but fake boobs, and a size zero body. And most women try to live up to that almost impossible expectation.
But my definition of perfect is a person that is happy about themselves.

it all depends on the girl. i know a girl who has nice think curvy hips but they only work because her face and the rest of her body fit that sexy, bootylicious image. some girls would look nasty as hell with wide hips, and some girls make it work. it all depends on the girl/
