Geauga Lake is/ was a great park!
I used to go there as a kid. Back then though, it was GL and Sea World. They got bought out by Six Flags. Sea World was dismantled and turned into a waterpark. Then last year or so, they were bought out by Cedar Fair (the parent company of Cedar Point). CP has now decided that having 3 amusement parks in close proximity to each other is too much, so they have now closed down GL (2007 was the last season) and have moving the coasters to other parks. The park is going to be a water park now.

Yes, but did you hear that Cedar Fair closed down the amusement park side of Geauga Lake???
It is now going to be just a water park. It used to be both a water park and an amusement park and a while back Sea World was around there too...

My husband is a ride Mechanic at Knotts Berry Farm in Buena Park CA which is owned by Cedar Fair.

Yes GL has closed its ride side of the park. IT wasnt making any money so they gave it the boot. Since you bought a CF Pass I suppose your going to Cedar Point. Have fun! Its the greatest place ever.

geauga lake is now closed. have fun going to a closed park. go to cedar point and kinds island. they are much much better.

Yes, but it had its final season this past summer. It's now strictly a waterpark. Gee-ah-ga Lake

ahaha i stay in a small city in direction of no the place so in wintry climate, whilst all us infants become bored we bypass to the woods and drink, appropriate? yet in wintry climate.. we (each and every now and returned decrease than the impression of alcohol, each and every now and returned sober) bypass out onto this frozen pond some young ones even journey motorcycles for the duration of it =] yet besides.. its never extremely that good of ice.. and ALOT of youngsters have fallen in i never have tho =]
