In China its about $2 a gallon.
The reason:
The oil companies are state owned with private enterprise doing the lions share of work.
Thus the state controls the profits while making sure the country has enough to feed the energy monster.
One of the many reason China is smart in many respects when it comes to economic issues. While they have a free market system, nevertheless, they also understand that needed resources and services hit the bottom line of enterprise and they are not afraid to keep those under a quasi socialistic business system to help with their economic future.
Peace

sure, it would desire to help in slowing down worldwide warming incredibly, even with the undeniable fact that it additionally makes enormously lots each and every thing extra costly. as an occasion, the fee of nutrition has skyrocketed interior the final 300 and sixty 5 days as a results of fee of transport that nutrition via truck. On one hand, the becoming fee of gasoline does instant human beings to purchase extra useful autos and take a closer examine out option fuels. on the different hand, the fee of gasoline becoming too extreme too rapid has the potential to reason the U. S. economic equipment to break down before we get to the component that we eliminate our dependence on oil (and to the folk claiming that worldwide warming is a delusion, there are nonetheless a number of of alternative clarification why our dependence on oil is a difficulty, with out even bringing environmental concerns into it). that's a superb stability. yet extra often than not, i think of you're suitable, they are pandering to familiar opinion. i'm only asserting that's not the only reason a flesh presser could be against the becoming gasoline fees.

$2.91 in RI - The thing is though the reason why others pay so much more for Gasoline in other nations is because of how they structure their tax codes and it is not a direct function of the price for a barrel of oil (thought is does influnence the price). The price of gasoline in other countries is due to their V.A.T. (value added taxes).
Good Luck!!!

In the 1970s we had shortages. I remember waiting in line to get 10 gallons of gas on even numbers days (my license plate number ended in even number)
I would rather have $4 gas and be able to fill my tank when ever I want rather than $2 gas not only be able 10 gallons on even numbered days.
And gas is just under $3 here.

In Michigan it's $3.18 a gallon. I saw a guy that put in ten dollars in gas, then went in and came out with three cartons of cigarettes, he complain about the price of gas but, not about the $41.00 per carton of the smokes. Go figure?

Toronto ON is about $2.91 * 0.97 a LT x3 to make a gallon
Which is always changing....has not stayed one price for years.
Really when we get down to it... our governments are doing a cash grab where it hurts us most.
