Ive had this sorta thing off an on but its really getting bad since being with my ex. Im worried he gave something to me. But basically its alot f excess discharge. And a smell that I swear someone sitting next to me could smell.
Milky white in colour. But its really uncomfortable and annoying feeling wet all the time and the smell.
I have since falled pregnant and am 11 weeks.
I got a blood test as you do with pregnancies.. would that have picked up and std if they werent looking for it?
im yet to have first appointment with hospital when from what im aware of they just inspect the... area? lol Im very umcomfortable speaking to my doc about it (its been going on 5 months or so) so will they pick up if there is a problem when i get the full examination with the antenatal care?

Also any ideas what it would be?

This sounds a lot like an infection called bacterial vaginosis based on the description of the smell.

They may do a pelvic exam at this time (sometimes they do this if a woman hasn't had her annual pelvic exam and pap smear). And at the same time they would also take a sample of that discharge and send it for culturing to see what it shows.

Many STDs (if applicable) show up as a result of taking a culture of the discharge from the vagina.

Please let your doctor know that you are having this. I know it can be embarrassing but they are used to this and will try to help you figure out what's going on.

You need to see a doc, b/c abnormal odor (fishy smell, with or without odd discharge) is a sign of infection. And some bacterial infections don't even have symptoms.

Find a doc, and see if there's something you can treat.

Also, overly washing, even with regular soap can cause you to get an infection. I know that doesn't make sense, but there are normal levels of bacteria that live in the vagina all the time, and if you wash too much, it disrupts this natural balance.

IF your old enough to be with a man ... your old enough to deal with the issues that come with it. TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR !!!

Good Luck

Just like the person above said.. it could be Bacterial vaginosis. It can also be Pelvic Inflammatory Disease or Trichomonis. All of which are bad if left untreated.
These disease can cause you to have chronic pain, abnormal bleeding, the horrible fishy/sweet smell, that strange thick white discharge.

I really wouldn't wait to see the doc. Especially if you are pregnant. You don't want to take the chance that infection gets to your baby. I would make an appointment for MONDAY!

I'm no doctor but sounds like it could be thrush, or an infection. It is very common to get both when your pregnant because the environment changes down there many many times. As for it going on for 5 months(thrush can come and go, come and go es-specially if you havent treated it) You definitely need to get it checked. I know it's embarrassing but think of it how I do. This is there job, they've heard it all before and there will always be worse things to ask.

Like the others said. DON'T WAIT FOR THE ANTE-NATAL EXAM!

Its probably not a major risk, but do you want to take ANY risk of harming the baby? Get checked out as soon as possible.
