I agree with babe: If Bush was like Hilter then the media would start disappearing (Chris Mathews to the gas chamber, etc.) and we would be drilling for oil everywhere, and we would tell the UN to hit the bricks, and many, many looney lefties would be rotting in prison.

His grandad was indited for aiding the nazis and was involved with those in big business raking in the money supplying nazis with some of the transporting vehicles, gas for chambers and some other things pertaining to war.
Before Hitl came to power there was an enormous fire scaring many of the people that Hitl and his cohorts started. He was also on speed as were some of his troops.
Also his dad spoke of aNWO in a speech in early ninties on 0/11.
Pres Clinton received a letter from P N A Cwishing for a 'New Pearl Harbor' that would provide popular support for getting a foothold in ME.
They got their wish, didnt they?

Well you have missed quite a bit. Forget Hitler; just think a very poor leader, a stumbling inepto hated by most of the planet. Bush could be played by Steve Martin as The Jerk without a bit of adjustment required. Homeland Security and the Patriot Act -- so called -- represent the pillage of America's civil rights which we have taken for granted for centuries. Bush insists on keeping in America's most unpopular war. Bush's administration outs members of the CIA who are known to disagree with them, putting those people's lives at risk. Bush has destroyed the strength and focus of the American military by multiplying tours of duty many fold. If anything really critical happened in the world, we'd be in a world of hurt because of how stretched thin and worn down our military is. The media is afraid of Bush. When a dozen Americans die in Iraq, the news people bring out more Paris Hilton and Britney and OJ stories to take our mind off it.
This barely scratches the surface. I could go on. But I won't. Your lunch was pretty tasty, though, thanks. Next time, I'd prefer potato wedges to fries.

Well, I am a treehugging farleft liberal and do not think so,
since you used an unconditional connective in your question.
But I do not want to argue whether or not I am a true liberal etc,
go try to prove that you know what I think, in a game of Poker.

Because we don't have the problems that the Nazis had, gaining control.
The government has control of the people, we do and say as we please but the war continues, they have control brother. They do as they please and we watch them do it, we cry, we scream, we allow one church group to go around the country protesting at funerals of dead soldiers but the war continues. Way Left or way Right has no meaning because they are the people in control.

it sort of feels that all and sundry around the political spectrum is undesirable-mouthing Ron Paul. what's humorous to me is that the community AM radio personalities try to cajole the listening aim industry that Ron is the devil. Receint polls coach that Congressional and Presidental approvals are very low. i think of that the powers that be are frightened of dropping their jobs.

Firstly, Bush is following the Hitler/Nazi plan of imperialist war abroad and repression at home. Secondly, Hitler didn't fare so well. Nobody wants to be associated with Hitler -- apparently not even the grandson of a Nazi financier and supporter. The Republicans have learned that it's best to be the Nazis with a friendly face, cultivate relationships with anti-liberal factions (pro-gun, religious fanatics, anti-abortion, etc.) and then steal elections. Since they own the mainstream media, they can maintain the illusion of democracy. Of course, since 90% of the American people are working class, a true democracy would be led by a pro-labor leader who would be promoting a living wage, national health care, free college, and other things important to working class people.

Well, he HAS said, "screw off, we're drilling for oil and cutting down your old trees." And people HAVE been jailed for protesting.
Bush is not Hitler. Maybe he'd like to be Franco. But he's not Hitler.

The reason that folks with left-winged views believe this about G W Bush is that in the 8 years that he has been in office, US citizens have lost more civil liberties than have been lost in all of US history.
With the Patriot Act, any US citizen can be arrested as a terrorist for almost any reason and detained without due process, knowing their charges, the right to an attorney and indefinitely.
With HR1555, it would be illegal for anyone protesting anything against the US govt would considered a terrorist and arrested. This is the entire basis of what this country was founded upon.
Do some research on your own and make your own decisions.
