A lot of countries have been created by migrants, with different levels of integration of the previously dominant culture.
All of turkey for example was greek before turkic tribes moved and took over (around 1200). The two folks were nevertheless not very similar and there has been no total assimilation.
Most of southern Germany was celtic and the celts merged with the new tribes coming from the north
Thailand has a culture from the immigrants originiating from a Chinese province who moved in the 12th century

As pointed out by cacti, the American Indian is native to the USA, but wasn't considered a citizen. Personally I believe that if it hadn't been for the immigrants that came to this country it would still be a primitive nation. The only other country that comes to mind, right off hand, would be Australia, but there, the Aborigines are the native people.
I do have to state this though. The first non-indigenous people to arrive in what is known as the USA were referred to a colonists, not immigrants. People arriving after the USA had formed and entering the country legally were than and now referred to as immigrants. The people crossing our borders, north and south alike, are illegal aliens and are by definition criminals.

I read an article some time ago which mentioned that the US was "the only country on earth comprised of people from every country on earth". However, this may or may not still be true?
