The dealership where I purchased my car usually always has the buyer sign the carfax report. it was late and dark. When I purchased my car from them, they did not have me sign this document and here is why.......

1. I asked how many owners the car had.
Response: One owner, local car, trade in for new car

2. Has it ever been in any accidents (asked this twice)
Response: No accidents of any kind.

The car was sold as is, I did sign that one, but this should not give them the right to intentionally mis-lead and lie.

I return home, notice a huge crack through the bumper. I go online and pull a carfax and the car was wrecked and had 5 owners! The oil was jet black and overfilled too. The bumber was structurely destroyed and the body shop it needed to be replaced. I contact dealer, they say, to bad, as is. I tell them they lied and lied some more.

I want the bumper fixed at least, if I take them to court, do I have a case at all?

This would be real iffy. The fact that the paperwork said "as is" may well boot you out of court. You can always file in small claims and take the extra paperwork of what you discovered (definitely keep it for your records) but by not getting the questions and answers in writing, it is pretty much their word against yours and you know they are going to say they didn't tell you one owner, no accidents.

Do you have a witness with you that can testify in your behalf about what was asked and answered? If not, you would probably be wasting money by going to court so all you can do is file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau so others who check there will know what happened with you and this company. They may check it out if there are other complaints but once again, the paperwork is against you. Sorry.

Really, it's gonna be your word against his - if you haven't got anything more than that then no, you don't have a case.... in future never buy a car without seeing the registration document (which will give the number of owners) and getting an insurance search done to check for previous accident damage. No matter how good a bargain it appears, doing what you did is asking for trouble...

No, the lemon cause will not cover that and its not mechanical. If it runs good and you feel you paid a price you can live with, then search the salvage yards and get a new bumper.
I hate car salesmen and I hate even more when they get over on me, but sometimes its that way, get over it and move on. Get that oil changed, like 3 weeks in a row and that should clean the engine, get new radiator hoses, thermostat and drive belt, thats the first things to break on used cars.

Well, the other are right, but they forgot to tell About the Better Business Bureau (BBB). And you can file a complaint with The Bureau of Motor Vehicle about misrepresentation by the sells person. Put it in writing and they will file the complaint in their record, that might cost them in the future when the need a special license or something.

what part of as is is unclear to you. if you buy anything as is...AUTOMATICALLY assume your getting a lemon. you have no case.
