4. a speeding bus makes contact with a bug that splatters onto the windshield. because of the sudden force, the unfortunate bug undergoes a sudden deceleration. is the corresponding force that the bug exerts against the wind-shield greater, less, or the same? is the resulting deceleration of the bus greater than, less than , or the same as that of bug?

1.The floor pushes up with the same amount of force.If it does'nt you'll sink.

2.A high jumper uses her momentum (gathered by running) and her legs muscles by bending her knees and straighten them,to change linear velocity to vertical.
Once she's airborne she'll rise untill her vertical velocity matches the gravity pull,then she'll fall.
3.A satellite,or any other object in space does have a pull on hearth,but the difference in size determine who is orbiting whom.
4.The force exerted by the bug is equal of the force exerted by the bus,unfortunatly for it the widshield glass was more solid than the bug body.
The deceleration force is also the same and it can be calculated using mass and the velocity and in the bus case it will be minimal.
By the way the bug contributed to its own demise,since in a head on collisision the speed of the bug and the speed of the bus are added.
