Why dont some women respect men who fall over themselves for them?

here it is:

I always think about other peoples happiness before my own which is my weakness. When i was married i would always walk across broken glass for my wife but the more i did things for her the less respect i got. She would then call me for being weak but i thought i was just being a good husband and then she had an affair. I left her 2 years ago and got divorced and she still contacts me to say that she admits that she was a ***** and she regrets what she did and wants me back which is never going to happen. You never know what you had until you lose it.
I have tried to put myself 1st instead of others but i can't do it, its who i am

I MEAN , WHAT IS IT???


THIS IS ONE OF LIFES BIG MYSTERY'S FOR ME??

THE MORE YOU SHOW THEM YOU LOVE THEM OR LIKE THEM ATLEAST THE MORE THEY PULL AWAY AND THINK YOU ARE "WEAK".

AND BE HONEST........NOT JUST SOME, BUT I THINK MANY WOMEN ARE THIS WAY.

HONESTLY........IT IS TRUE ISNT IT??

We are all individuals, not all the same men and women! You can't paint everyone with the same brush, it's just unfortunate that you have been hurt.
Maybe you haven't met your soul mate yet. The people that use and hurt you are not worth worrying over, this is something that you will learn through life's experiences.

I personally want a man that would give me the world if he could. This is how I treat my partner , and wish for the same treatment in return.Not everyone appreciates being treated well unfortunately.They seem to come to expect things. And it changes everything when it is expected.

if you want something you have to make sure you get it
always put yourself first
maybe sometimes be kind and put others first
but people are not nice these days
i used to be very very nice and still am but ibve learned to get what i want and put myself first and thats how i bcame happier
just remember you the most important person in your life so look after yourself most of all

i still haven't found the one but you know what/ i don't want to be with a jerk who puts me down...respect is a 2 way thing and both people in the relationship should respect eachother orelse it's not equal - maybe his wife was a dominatrix, he's better off without her !

if you don't appear to respect yourself it's hard for others to respect you - caring about other people's happiness is great, but if you NEVER consider your own, that's a problem - use at least a little bit of your energy for you, it doesn't make you selfish - you don't have to put yourself first, but never put yourself last

when men are too eager to create a deep relationship, you get the feeling that it's the relationship, not you, that they want. Women love to feel appreciated. Being swarmed by a needy guy just makes us feel convenient. Nothing special about us, we are just in the right place at the right time. Get it?
