To start ignore the first reply to your question, bats (mega or micro) live on every continent of this planet but Antarctica. The majority of your megas tend to hang to the subtropics they still thrive in more than just the rainforest.
But to your question... yes and no. They do not eat the body of the cactus itself but megabats (fruit eating) do feed off the flowers that bloom from them. On top of that microbats (insect eating) will hang around to pluck off insects and smaller animals that hang around to feed off the cactus as well.
If you are looking for some species try the following:
-Mexican Long Tongued
-Lesser Long Nosed
There are always a ton of info floating around the web on those two species.

Bats live everywhere, not just rainforests.
And the plural spelling of cactus is cacti.
But yes, during the right time, when the cacti's flowers are blossoming, bats will eat the fruit or bugs that are attracted. Most often they help to pollenate cacti.
But not all bats will do so. Most bats eat bugs soley, as they are carniverous. But it isn't impossible.

No. Bats are carnivorous for the most part. There are fruit eating bats also but they live primarily in the tropical rain forests--not in deserts.

There is a group of bats that feed on the nectar of the cacti and pollinate the flowers.
However, they do not feed on the cacti.
