Only til next Sunday, then you've got to go back and confess this weeks sins, if you want to be sin free again, that is.
Better to not sin in the first place otherwise you're going to be going to Church every Sunday when you could be having a lie in, or playing football or doing other fun stuff instead.
Whilst you're at it if you write your own rules on what is a sin and what isn't you don't even have to bother being in a religion at all and then you never have to go to Church.

No one ever said Catholicism is the perfect religion and even if I pour out all my feelings to this topic, I still could not convince anything that would possibly change stubborn minds. Just respect my religion-my fellow Catholics would not like getting criticized. If that's how you see the Sacrament of Reconciliation, what a waste. God gave us this for second, third, more chances to be with him. In confession, sincerity is concerned. When I commit sin, I don't go to confession right away. I gather up enough courage to face God again but hey, this is just the way I see it.

I think that, considering the fact that the Catholic church...
1) Was behind the Spanish Inquisition, where they tortured and slaughtered thousands of innocent men, women, and children, simply because they were "non-believers" and unwilling to convert;
2) Was behind the Crusades, where they again tortured and slaughtered thousands of innocent men, woman, and children for the very same reasons;
3) Took a stand of neutrality with regard to the Holocaust during World War II (and silence, for all intents and purposes, equals support);
4) Actually helped numerous NAZI SOLDIERS to hide from the Allied Forces, then helped smuggle them out of Europe;
5) Has turned a collective blind eye countless times to pedophile priests who have been raping -- and thereby inflicting irreparable psychological damage to -- hundreds (if not thousands) of innocent children for centuries, merely relocating the "offending" priests to other churches when the law has gotten too close;
...it should be called an ABOMINATION -- not a religion.

bear in mind that there's no such a thing as "the perfect religion"...and, most important, the purpose of going to confession is not getting absolved and doing the same sins once again...if you confess your sins it means that you feel guilty for what you've done and, as a consequence, you should try not to do the same mistake once again

I think you do not know much about being a Catholic.
You have to be truly sorry for your sins and have an real intention to try not to sin in the future to be forgiven.
Can you read this prayer of contrition and mean every word?
My God,
I am sorry for my sins with all my heart.
In choosing to do wrong
And failing to do good,
I have sinned against you
whom I should love above all things.
I firmly intend, with your help,
to do penance,
to sin no more,
and to avoid whatever leads me to sin.
Amen.
If you can then you are truly on your way to forgiveness.
With love in Christ.

With that attitude, you should become a fundamentalist christian. They do not even go to a priest to be absolved. They believe thaey are already absolved from any sin they may commit. Once saved always saved.

according to your religion, your confession doesn't mean squat unless you are truly regretful of your misdeeds. and if you are truly regretful, it means you won't do them in the future and you honestly wish you hadn't done them in the past.
on top of that you don't get to plan when you die. and if you haven't genuinely confessed right before it happens - blammo - hell, sucker. for eternity.
if you go for all that business anyway. which you seem to.
and you seem to be picking religions like you would clothing. a religion isn't something that works best for how you want to live, a religion is what you honestly believe is the truth. you can't pick and choose and find loopholes in the truth. you can't decide what is fact and what isn't, depending on the things you want to do. if you are christian, you should believe in the wrongness of sins and not do them. or drop your religion.
i don't really care, i'm not religious. but maybe you should think about your apparent existential truth and it's relevance and weight in your life.

your playing with words and ideals. All religions have imperfections. let me remind you that after the jews were led out of bondage by moses they too sined again and again. and it took 40 years for god to forget and even then it was only after they were all dead. Getting absolved of your sins is like GOD asking you politely not to sin again. Try to remember that even God has his limits. With this line of reasoning, you maybe pushing it.... Hope this helps.

as for me i think "repentance" is the key and from that time that you finally realized that " true conviction matters and not the religion" and that it's all about your faith to Him where does it go???? just something for you to ponder but i did want you to feel that you were being reprimanded i just wanted to state some fact... but i won't push you to have the same view as i am peace!!!! I can't say that religion is the means of it...
