I know I'm pretty well-known around here for my country knowledge, and if I had to name a few of "our" songs at the top of my list right now, they'd be Country Bumpkin, Some Broken Hearts Never Mend, Middle Age Crazy and Talking To The Wall. (I could go on all night.)
But I have 15,000 records altogether, counting 45s, albums and CDs. I've got rock and adult contemporary faves too. Some of them are Crystal Blue Persuasion by Tommy James and the Shondells, Come And Get Your Love by Redbone, One Of These Nights by The Eagles and Sailing by Christopher Cross. Also, ANYTHING by Ed Ames. I have all his albums, bar none. Then, of course, there are the incomparable Stylistics, and Cornelius Bros. and Sister Rose.
So what say you guys? Do you have any guilty pleasures on the rock, R&B or A/C sides?

heck yeah. I love listening to country, and rock. I love Motley Crue, Metallica, and so on. There is some rap that I like, most of it older. Nikki Sixx I believe it was, said one time, that there is so many types of music out there and its stupid to limit yourself to one genre. He is right.

My music collection varies greatly. Outside of country I am basically a product of the 70's with artists like CCR, CSN&Y, Doobie Bros, Eagles, Bob Seger, Van Morrison, Bad Co., Loggins and Messins, Bread, Rod Stewart, Jim Croce, I could list way too many here but I also have a great deal of Mowtown and Stevie Ray Vaughn, Gary Moore, Eric Clapton,BB King, a lot of what we called Oldies in the 70's..(lol).
I have an appreciation for a lot of different genres, one of my all time favorite artists is Roger Whittaker who oddly enough sang quite a few performances with Chet Atkins and being Irish, I also have several celtic artist so my tastes vary across the board. There are a few genres that I just can't tolerate and that is rap and hard rock or heavy metal or whatever it is they call it these days....lol

I started rock and old school R&B as a kid in Los Angeles, only to turn to country in my teens when it was the prevalent music in the area in Wyoming. I have 3000 CDs, most rock and older pop.
I love the Guess Who, CCR, Three Dog Night, and most of the 70's pop. I sing Bill Withers, Lou Rawls and Billy Preston almost as much in karaoke as the country.

I like basically, many types of music. My co-workers do not understand how I can listen to Korn and Metallica and turn around another day and play Johnny Cash or Conway. The music I listen to usually always depends on my mood. I like some newer country especially Toby Keith (redneck-sorry),
however I like classic country much better. I guess that's what I grew up listening to. When I'm tired, for example, I listen to easy rock. When I'm cleaning the house it's usually rock. I can take a few slower bluegrass songs on a rare occasion. I really like older Motown. I also like blues. The only music I don't listen to is classical (elevator music) and opera. I guess I don't have the knowledge to appreciate those areas. To wrap it up...if we listened to same old, same old, all the time -it would get pretty dull.

As a youth, I ignored my country roots. I once loved Jackie Wilson, Sam Cook (died way too young), Ray Charles, and Wilson Pickett (In the Midnight Hours! In R & R, I loved Creedence Clearwater Revival, AC/DC, Eagles, and Fleetwood Mac. I still love them, but since then, I've seen the light!
