...that a person is very fortunate to have have found meaning and purpose in their life and that they can move forwards with purpose.
If you have this in your life, then you can achieve a great deal, and life becomes more... well... purposeful!
It's a good question!
I read a book by Victor Frankl who says that anyone can find meaning in their life... it's about finding the thing which has most meaning for you... whatever it is... it doesn't have to be a big thing, it can be a small personal thing, but if you have found something, then it can help you survive with purpose. Victor Frankl is a Nazi concentration camp survivor, and he found meaning in life even under those severe conditions.. he says that finding meaning enabled him to survive the horrific ordeal.
Now I'm looking for meaning and purpose in my life right now!
If i find it, then I'll let you know....
:-)

Thank goodness you didn't ask "What is the purpose of life?" for which there is no absolute. (I know YOU wouldn't!)
Honestly, in my experience, the people who don't think about "purpose," but of living, are in harmony with life, have greater clarity of inner self, have no excessive expectations, enjoy the adventure of serendipitous side roads.
For all living things, life is to thrive.
Focusing on--rigidly following a "path," (at its extreme, being fixated on purpose), denies the flow of the journey. Is unaware of fields of daisies, the tip of a red winged blackbird's wing, the smile of a stranger, the opportunity of a new venture, or profession.
To maintain our moral compass isn't really a purpose, it's truth. Living is being open to new terrains & enjoying, (thriving).

So many thoughtful, & caring answers. Yet I can't comprehend the point MariaNina is so strongly trying to make, or how it relates to the question? Misinterpretations of references is disturbing. Any Ph.D knows that SEXUAL DESIRES, (that sinful thing), is feeling, not thought.

trying to figure out what I need to do and do that in order to grow wiser, be better, do more, help people and animals, love more and take care in every step of my life, and not to get stuck on the missteps, starting with now.
