Michigan played with a lot of heart being down 10 with 7 mins to go in the game on the road against their in state rivel. Plus BC and ASU both lost. I realize they may not drop ASU that far. Just curious to see what people think...

So, is Michigan guaranteed a spot in the Rose bowl now? Because if they beat OSU they win the big 10, and goto Rose. If they lose to OSU they goto Rose(assuming OSU beats Illinois). Even if they UM loses to UW, and OSU, they would still be second place in Big Ten-and goto Rose.

I think they should be top 10.
Michigan should go to Rose Bowl even as a 9-3 runner up in Big 10. OSU would be in NC if they beat Michigan, and a 9-3 Michigan would look very inviting as an at large BCS bid to the Rose Bowl

Boston College and Arizona State will not drop lower than Michigan. BC will probably drop to 7th and Arizona State will drop to 9th. So it would go Ohio State, LSU, Oregon, Oklahoma, West Virginia, Kansas, Boston College, Missouri, Arizona State, Georgia, Virginia Tech, then Michigan. The top 10 is going to shuffle a lot in the next few weeks. Missouri and Kansas have to play, then the winner of that plays in the Big XII championship game against Oklahoma. LSU and whoever comes out of the SEC east (Georgia?) still have to play so that could shuffle it more. The championship games only help the Big Ten and Pac 10 because it allows their #2's to move up into the BCS without playing. So in a few weeks they could move up. And if Michigan wins out they will be at least 7th. They should wind up in the Rose Bowl even with 3 losses, whether it be a loss to Wisconsin or a loss to Ohio State. But for this week, Michigan has no chance being in the top 10 of the BCS. They only beat a now 5-5 team of Michigan State.

Michigan is not guaranteed a spot in the Rose Bowl. If Ohio State wins the conference, presumably going unbeaten to do it, no other Big Ten team is guaranteed a BCS spot, especially as a presumably 9-3 Michigan team would be probably about 15 in the BCS.

Why difficulty approximately it Penn state can no longer lose to Michigan. If for some reason Penn state does lose it's going to make the great 10 look even weaker. a million win over a pathetic Notre Dame would not make Michigan a appropriate 35 team

chancies michigan gets in the top 10 this year?
I would say between nil and not gonna happen even when they beat Ohio state they wont be ranked in the top 10. There's too many teams better than Michigan. But I'm not voting and I don't know the bcs formula. Hell they had southern florida at number 2 a few weeks back and now look where they are.

I think the Big 10 better rethink their scheduling ASAP.
I don't even think OSU should be #1.
Last year (even with OSU being 10x better than they are this year) I thought the 2 teams were very overated.
That's my beef with that conference. Stop scheduling cupcakes and go out of conference against good schools. Your conference is down and not nearly as good as the elite conferences.
Seriously, when OSU ends up playing LSU or Oregon. They will get embarrased AGAIN.
So no Michigan will not be in top 10.

Niet32,
You are too funny, what are the " elite conferences" and you think that Ohio State's team last year was 10 times better than this year?? Too many so called "elite" teams got knocked off this year. I would LOVE to see some of those southern teams go up and play in the cold with the big ten "cupcakes" as I recall, Michigan, Ohio State, Wisconsin and Penn State have all beaten your " elite" teams in recent years.
