There are 4 Time Cycles that operate eternally. These four Time Cycles are called Yugas.

1) Krita Yuga, lasts for 1728000 years.
2) Treta Yuga lasts for 1296000 years.
3) Dwapara Yuga lasts for 864,000 years.
4) Kali Yuga lasts for 432,000 years.

Lord Rama was the 7th Avatar of Vishnu and came in the Treta Yuga. Roughly, He appeared 2 million years ago. The Valmiki Ramayana gives an exact description of the stars and planet positions at the time of His incarnation.

Your question is of academic interest and frankly, I am unable to spell out the date.
ramayana is a record of events and society of India and has no relation with outside world to coincide the periods. However, it must be over 5000 years back from now since no accent of present culture is directly or indirectly depicted.
