not knowing much about what you are studying makes answering this hard, but i will try.

i think the thing to do is actually try to make links between the real world and what you are doing, I used to have the same problem with maths however once you actually start trying to do things it really does show how much things like trigonometry or algebra apply.

the other thing to try to remember is work out what you wish to do as a career, and apply as much as you can to that too. choose something that really interests you.

and remember, it doesn't matter if you flunk a few subjects, i flunked english lit and RE at GCSE level yet i am still at university now.

you may not realize it right now but in future when you grow up and see all ur friends secure good jobs in great companies...u will regret it...i know that our syllabus makes no sense but it is knowledge and degree that matters. remember education is always an asset. it can never go waste..and it is only a matter of another three years coz after that you can chose any field which interest you and which will make you dream of becoming a successful entrepreneur true...just work hard for a few more years and then you will be free to chose whatever subject interest you..best of luck

You inadvertantly disclosed that there are scores of successful people who were not good in academics. Unconscienciously you are aping them. But you have heard half the story. Those people were non conformist with ideas of their own. They pursued those ideas vehemently against all odds and succeeded.
If you have ideas of that resolute order, you are on right track. But I have doubts as you admitted saying life is too short for such stuff. What seems on your mind is every teenagers problem. Do not let it guide your course of life please.. Best luck.

i think you have good parents and you respect them...
you do not want to make them sad..

decide to complete up to degree or post degree.. and plan your life parents also get satisfaction and you will also get very good standard of life....

confusing now itself may cause problem in your studies and developing your skills/knowledge..

you can also be successful by planning now it self...

to avoid confusion - forget everything chart out your present day situation... successful is not easy...

even though some people are not good in academic were successful out of their hard work and serious planning...

if you have good academic background and hard work.. you will be more successful in your life... do not think one side of the succes the other side of the success you analyse get away from confusion... start studying..

in many families children not having facility and support to study.. i think you are having all support and means.. forget about the life and entire life time... now you plan to develop yourself more by means of education or knowledge it will take you automatically for a successful life even though it is short or long..

all the best
