this has happened to me twice actually. i confronted them both times, and would've liked to stay friends, but when i confronted them, BOTH seperate times, they both got very defensive and things escalated into a heated verbal fight, and resulted in the loss of friendships. but in the end it worked out for the best because a true friend is loyal and would never steal from you.

First my heart would probably break, I love all my friends. Then I'd ask them why they felt that they needed to do this, why didn't they come to me if they needed help? if it was a one time thing i could forget it, but if it had been going on for some time then I don't know if I could forgive that.

Well....I would know before stealing...I usually have a gut feeling for these things...and If I would allow to be my friend than I wouldn't be surprised....
