NOT much.
I GUARANTEE these 6 West teams will have better records:
San Antonio
Dallas
Houston
Phoenix
Denver
Utah

and then there's
Golden State & the
Lakers

Good luck

They didn't even make it back to the playoffs last year with Elton Brand, and they're going to miss him for a while this year, so their chances are pretty slim. But they still are capable of making it to the playoffs, and maybe they can even pull off a trade for a proven star for additional firepower. But I doubt they'd get far anyway. As for those other players you mentioned, I don't think they can contribute enough to really make the Clippers a solid contender. But Al Thornton and Shaun Livingston have a lot of potential. If they improve fast enough or at least reach star status while Kaman and Brand are still productive then maybe they can prove to be solid contenders. They can only get better, if they keep the core together. Right now, as much as I hate to admit it, San Antonio is the favorite. I hope Phoenix gets its act together and beat the Spurs.

Definitely yes, the Clippers can make it into the playoffs. Chris Kaman is slowly improving on his game, Al Thornton and Ruben Patterson are great.

There are only a few teams in the West who have a shot at making the finals, and the Clippers aren't one of them. They'll make the playoffs, maybe get lucky and find their way into the second round, but the West is just too good. Don't feel too bad, my Nugz aren't going to get there either.

No way. Elton Brand was supposed to save them this year and they lost him. They only have Maggete left and also Kaman. Unless they get a breakout year from Kaman or somebody else, the Clippers are back to their normal 50 loss seasons.

Yeah,i think they can, they're a very powerful team if they're focused.they have sam cassell one of the great and expirienced point guards in the nba.Corey Maggette one of the strong forwards in the league very explosive and he has a good 3 point range and don't fogert about cuttino mobley the 3-point man if he got his game they'll have a chance, but EL is a big part of this team,he needs to get back soon,so that their chance of making it to the playoffs would rise.

It will be a tough time for the Clippers to go to the playoff. My opinion is that they might slip into the 8th and final slot but they to fight off first the Warriors..

I say that the team as a whole is not experienced enough and without a good on the ball defender and good passing point guard like livingston and without that experienced post. I believe they are in trouble.
