I think you are referring to the Jon Peter Lewis/Dobie Grey/Uncle Cracker song, 'Drift Away'.
Good lyrics btw. Oh, and of course, one must always look for the light... through any kind of occlusion.
Oh, Uncle Cracker's version is horrid...

every time i see the light pouring through the clouds after a storm, i always think of that one line from the Bengals' song, Eternal Flame, "sun shines through the rain..." so yes, i do...
