The physical presence of a person may be near but the feeling and contact of that person is far. Physically present but mentally absent as they say. You are so near but yet so far.
Thanks for asking. Have a great day!

The question is concerned with religion & spirituality. Its answer may be two in my opinion. Nobody can predict about death of oneself. It can come at any time and thus it is so near. Death can also be yet so far provided that we remember "Almighty God". The second answer is God as He lies within us and thus it is so near, but yet so far as we search Him in every piligrim places and forest. Thanks for the questioner as his question provides good teaching to the society.

Lord kraihna speaks of the supreme infinite spirit that is beginning less, and is neither a being nor a non-being.in the 13Th teaching of Bhagavad -Gita.In verse 15 of the Thirteenth teaching . It is the all pervasive God that is referred to here .,
He says as follows:
"Out side and within all creatures ,
inanaimat ebut still animate
too subtle to br known,
it is far distant , yet near ."
The infinite spirit is all pervasive and therefore , it exists out side your body .and it is also within all creatures ,both animate and inanimate. It is too subtle to be known .Since it is found in animate and inanimate beings ( Inanimate objects are referred to as inanimate beings as they also vibrate with energy and the so-called inanimate elements only make the animate bodies .It is working in the atoms of all elements of which your body is composed of and you do not see it individually as an animate being .It is too subtle to be known. It is all pervasive and is the creator of the whole cosmos .It is infinity and therefore, it is far distant to the extent that you can not see or know it ;.but is also inside you . It is so very near .
Though it is so very near as to make yourself , it is not understood or seen and still people are searching for it .It is infinite in its existence and it is enveloping all that is in the universe . It is far distant too.
God, the supreme infinite spirit is referred to here .

The Self.
What can be so near other than the 'self' and yet so far as we pretend to be so many things except to know the 'Self'.

God that resides within our own selves but we keep looking for it ouside and God remains ever so far away from us. This is an irony of man, they spend entire lifetimes finding that which has all along been an inseparable part of their very existence.

Your dreams. Your thoughts. Your imagination. They are abstract in you. You can feel them, yet they are so unreachable.
And in everyday life, TV stars. You see them every day in your living room or parlour or bedroom, wherever your TV set is. Yet they are so far away. If you call out to them, they can't hear. You just see them.
