I bought a small battery powered car for my grand daughter. It has a small battery in it about 2 x 4 x 4 inches or maybe larger. I think it said 6 volt but that doesn't make sense when tiny one is a 9 volt. I will have to take it out again in the morning to see what it says for voltage. Right now I just push her with the handle attached to the car and it makes a sort of rumbling sound as the battery is dead. I thought maybe it might charge up pushing it? It unplugs and comes out but how would I charge it. I know I have to buy something but not sure what. How long would I charge it. Any help appreciated. Thanks, Linda Sue Bob

the people at towerhobbies.com specialize in that kind of stuff (any brand you could think of) you can get the number to their product help line and give them a description of the battery and they should be able to help. another way is to just take it to toys r us or similar store if its a big brand like tyco or nikko and they should be able to find one for you there.

If toys r us have it get the model number and still check online because they are outrageous on their prices there.
also tower hobbies carry alot of fast chargers that can charge most batteries in less than twenty min instead of the 6-12 hour charger that comes with the car, they do that so you will hopefully buy a couple of chargers and batteries

Hi There,

The size doesn't have anything to with the voltage. Remember, a car uses a 12v batery.

The easiest thing to do would be to take the car into an electronics shop and show them. They might be able to recommend a generic charger. I presume you have searched the web for the brand and model of the car? If I knew what it was, perhaps I could track it down for you.

Good luck! Hope you find it!

In my daughters you have to take the battery out & plug it into the charging station that comes w/ the car.

If you were not given one call the manufacturer & ask them. They may sell you a charger or tell you what you need.

We bought an extra charger from Toys R Us for ours.....downfall....about $60 :( You would charge it for a night...about 8 hrs to get a full charge). Try eBay for the power adapter. If you bought it used, you were obviously trying to avoid the expense!Good luck :)
