I like both, but I would have to say if I had to pick one, it would be Pearl Jam.

Both are good bands. But Nirvana have reach legendary status compare to Pearl Jam. So i would pick Nirvana because Kurt Cobain is simply a genius in song writing.

Hard decision..............Damn they are both very talented.
Ten by Pearl Jam will never again be equaled by Eddie Vetter. Not one bad song on the entire Album. What can you say about Nirvana that has not already been spoken. Kurt Cobain. As much as I like the album ten I will have to go with Nirvana....................He was in a class by himself...........!

Alice in Chains and Soundgarden were better musically and lyrically. But Nirvana because they had the most punk influence.

i would have to go with nirvana, cuz their music was faster and more aggressive. but lyrically i would have to go with pearl jam... but kurt still wrote some awesome lyrics, but they werent as deep as eddie vedder's.

I am not a big fan of grunge, but I did like Pearl Jam.
