Wow, I have a whole bookcase full of great sources on WWII.
There are plenty on line too.
I would focus on two main factors:
1. Russian manpower (and their resolve to win at all costs)
2. American industrial power
A third factor is British sea power, but the final defeat of the Axis was primarily due to overwhelming forces - men and material - arrayed against it.

John Keegan's book World War II is an excellent resource to pick just one. The top link below takes you to an analysis of his book. The 2nd link looks fairly good. Good Luck!

You want to read up on total war along with the incompetence of Adolf Hitler.

Reading up on the Washington treaty and why Yamamoto thought that Japan should have stayed in the treaty will also tell you why the Axis powers lost in the Pacific.

They bit off more than they could chew.

Case in point, Japan tried to take over the entire Asia Pacifc + South Asia whereas Germany tried to conquer Europe, Russia, North Africa + Middle East.

These they did with limited resources, many of which had to be imported as compared to USA & Russia whose industrial might & more readily accessible resources enabled them to produce more tanks, planes + warships.
