LSU has played a rather tough schedule as well as Oregon, but I think Oregon is playing better right now.
You can flip this one either way and make a hell of an argument and I wouldn't be shocked if Oregon slipped into the two-spot.

LSU will be #2. LOL did someone say Oregon has a tougher strength of schedule? You must not watch the SEC very often. I'm originally from Los Angeles (die hard USC fan) so I'm all about the PAC-10 and I'm glad it's finally competitive but I'm now in GA and see the SEC where no game is a guaranteed win (NONE). I want to see OSU v Oklahoma in the title game so the Sooners can run over them. Then I just want to see a LSU v Oregon game just for the hell of it to settle the #2 question.

I think that Oregon deserves to be #2, really, they probably deserve to be #1. LSU has played well this season, but they have not been as explosive as I have seen Oregon. LSU has had to gamble and come up with lucky victories, such as the one tonight with a fumble inside the 10 with 1:39 to go in the game. I just hope that Ohio State will lose, that way we can watch a good national championship game between the two best teams in the nation.

Probably LSU, but Oregon did get a quality win today, as LSU squeaked by. So we will see.
AS for OSU, how do you call a 3 td victory struggling? Against a top team. And yes the Mich losses will hurt (though I dont think results vs 1aa count in computer rankings) but Oregon winning, will soften that blow some.
Oh and you didnt mention OSU's other non conf game vs Washington a PAC10 BCS member.
AS far as LSU's "tough" non conf schedule????
Va Tech 7-2 2nd in div in ACC +
La Tech wallowing in bottom of WAC at 4-5
Tulane Conf USA 2-7
and Middle Tennessee Sun Belt and 5-5
reaaal tough that non conf schedule

That's a tough one, but I think LSU will. Oregon will be 3, Oklahoma 4 and Kansas will be #5.

The way it's going this year, there could easily be a 2-loss team in the championship game this year. BSC #2 tomorrow Oregon, but by the end of the year it could be LSU with two losses or OK, or VTech or UGA or somebody else, especially with a lot of these teams going to conference championships with two losses.

!. ohio st (agree undeserving)
2. LSU
3. Oregon
4. oklahoma
5. WVU
6. Kansas (weak schedule so far too)
7. mizzouri
8. georgia
9. Va tech
10 arizona st
WVU and kansas could flip flop at 5,6 but kansas has really not beaten anyone kansas st?? is the only team thats been ranked when they played and cent mich, florida international, southeastern louisiana, baylor, toledo. they scored 76 on neb but they also gave up 39. i'll belive kansas if they beat mizzou, and oklahoma in the big 12 champ game
