Thank God for term limits, not that the president could possibly get elected to anything but they can only hang around for eight years regardless. In spite of the fact that we have made some horrendous blunders in the last eight years I believe in our country. I think that we do much more good than most people realize. But its time that we start taking care of our country and start leaving the world problems to the U.N. or those directly involved. We can afford billions for a war that no one wants yet we can't afford thirty five billion to provide health care to millions of children in our own country. Isn't it obvious that our priorities need to change.

I'm afraid things will have to get worse before they can get better. The 'Powers of Darkness' in America are just too strong. People only vote for change when things get painful for them, and I'm afraid it's just not painful enough. Not enough people care about our deteriorating image in the world, our failing relationships with our allies. Not enough people seem to understand why huge debt is bad--presidents all talk about balancing the budget but once they get into office they act like debt just doesn't matter and nobody seems to care. (Clinton being the exception here). Too many people buy the story of our invasion of Iraq being about 'terrorism'. Too many people parrot the crap they hear on right-wing media without really thinking about it for themselves.

America isn't failing. It is morphing into something the vast majority of the American people are going to regret. To all those that worship money; The money lords are going to take your money too. To all those that believe in "every man for himself"; the selfish people are not going to give any help, in any form to anyone. Then it will be "every man for himself".
