The Jews didn't declare war on anybody. Hitler had a plan to exterminate European Jews in place long before he became chancellor of Germany, and he used that power to put his plan into action. The Jews were not a country or military force, they were scattered throughout Europe in many different countries, and speaking many different languages.
As such, the Nazis did not attack the Jews as they would an armed force. The Jews (as well as other "undesirables" such as Gypsies, homosexuals, political dissidents, the mentally & physically disabled, etc) were rounded up wherever they were found, disarmed, stripped of their property and all but the most meager possessions, then shipped to labor camps under the false promise of being released as soon as the "conflict" was over.
At the camps they were usually worked to death, and many (i.e. the elderly and small children) were considered useless and executed outright. In areas where there were entire neighborhoods of Jews they were often boarded up (see link to the Warsaw Ghetto below) and allowed little if any food or outside support. Basically, they were left there to starve.
Many people like to deny this Holocaust ever happened, but the fact is the Germans are fastidious record-keepers, and the Nazis kept very exacting records of their activities. Their own best official guess is that they murdered approximately 6,500,000 people in this brutal manner.

There was no Jewish state before WW2. At that time the Jews were a scattered people that formed a minority population in many countries. They were a religious faction mostly.
So how can a group of scattered, unaffiliated people declare war on a nation? Any claims that they did are either complete ignorance or outright lies for the sake of some other agenda.

According to a 1984 book by Edwin Black, early on in the Nazi regime, Jewish power-brokers in the US and Europe sponsored a global boycott against German imports. This worldwide boycott was highly effective and would have brought down the Third Reich in its first year; it was regarded by the Nazis as an act of war.
However, the boycott was broken by a deal known as the "Transfer Agreement" between the Nazis and the Zionist leaders:
"The Transfer Agreement is Edwin Black's compelling, award-winning story of a negotiated arrangement in 1933 between Zionist organizations and the Nazis to transfer some 50,000 Jews, and $100 million of their assets, to Jewish Palestine in exchange for stopping the worldwide Jewish-led boycott threatening to topple the Hitler regime in its first year.*"

Duh, no!
They actually became too complacent and were lulled into a similar mode of denial that people are in regarding Islamo-Fascism today, worrying about silly issues like global warming (instigated by that liberal wacko, Gore).
