You may be fine for now, but once your fish start maturing, you're gonna be in trouble. As they grow, they will get MUCH more territorial, and you simply don't have the room for that many large fish to make their own territory.

Oscar-12-14 inches
RBP- 10 inches each
JD- 10-12 inches
Common Plecostomus- 1.5-2 feet each
Orange Cichlid- means nothing without a real name

The JD will pick on the Piranhas, Plecos, and the Oscar, and the Oscar will grow so quickly that it will eventually be able to eat your Piranhas... Be prepared to separate them once the first fight breaks out.

Soop Nazi

EDIT: Piranhas are only illegal in certain states like California... not all of the U.S. Also, all the Cichlids he listed (except for the mystery Cichlid) are New World Cichlids.

Aren't piranhas ILLEGAL to own in the US? (Assuming you live in the US) I'm pretty sure you have a pacu (they look damn near the same) and those suckers grow to be 3 foot long.

That and the plecos cannot be kept in pairs because they are very territorial and one will kill the other soon.

I only know about New World cichlids so I can't help you on yours, but I'm pretty sure a 70 gallon tank is going to become too small really quick for all those fish.

really depends what that orange guy is.
i can't really think of an orange cichlid that is compatible with any of these fish though especially if it's an african.
or could even be a midas or red devil in which case it'll dominate your tank eventually.
how many paranhas???
you sure they're not pacus???
if not i'd switch them with some it'd go much better.

Whoa...Talk about an aggressive fish tank. You will have no problems at the present time but as they start to grow, and they all will be BIG, the problems will begin. The Jack Dempsey will be the big problem, as its name implies, it will fight with anything. The Tiger Oscar will get big enough to eat all the others. Unless you plan on getting several large tanks, I would decide on which fish you like the most and sell the rest.

If the fish are great sufficient to consume the tadpoles then dont do it. and additionally those are an incredible sort of tadpoles which may be defecating indoors the water they'd get the fish unwell. some must be ok yet as quickly as you place all of them make certain you have a clever filtration gadget to maintain it helpful and sparkling.

Most of your fish are carnivorous. Seperate the orange cichilds and 2 plecos.

depends, if you keep up on feeding they should grow to know not to eat one another. if you go too long w/o feeding your piranhas will attack. you have a tank full of very aggressive fish so just make sure you know how much and how often you feed.

Yes, as long as light orange cichlid is not african cichlid.

Wow, for a 70 gallon tank that is a good mix as long as the piranhas dont eat your smaller fish.

Wow! 70 gallons will take a heck of a long time to boil. Just don't forget to add some veggies and seasoning. With that, the mix will be perfect!
