Charlie did quite well with the Willingham teams, now that his recruits are playing he has fallen. The racist at ND deserve to lose the rest of their games and next year's also.

I don't share the hate you have towards the man...but I do share your feeling that he sucks as a coach. I don't hold it against him for lobbying for his team, that is his job.
But I do hold it against him for not winning 1 meaningful game in his Notre Dame Career. The win over UCLA was big for them, and probably will go down as Charlie's biggest...which is sad, as UCLA just lost to Arizona as well...
The worst part is that he will get like 3 or 4 million to walk away.
Funny how when you get high up, you can totally suck and blow everything up and still get paid millions when you get fired. Does this make any sense?
I think Colleges should start putting a floor in their coaching contracts.. Not in terms of money, but in terms of wins. If a coach is below the floor (minimum number of wins) his contract can be terminated with no payout package.
I am sure Notre Dame wished they would have put a minimum number of wins in Charlie's contract. I am sure everyone including Charlie would have laughed at 4 wins...but Charlie would not be laughing now when Notre Dame could pull the plug on his deal and be done with him...with no payout!

I'm happy for Navy. Notre Dame is just getting what they deserve, and people will always compare him to Ty because it's hard to believe he would have done this bad a job. Don't get me wrong Willingham isn't kicking butt in Washington, but they aren't as embarrassing to watch as ND either. Ty Willingham did better overall and was met with less patience. Fans of ND want a bowl victory, not an azs kicking in January. Now Fatboy can't even give fans that.

Watching last years talk about Brady Quinn this or Charlie Weiss that. I love it. But all of this season wont match the 41-14 ace kickin they got against LSU last year.

well, i just disagree. it's sad to see anyone getting whipped like the irish are getting whipped. and it is also a double standard that the previous coach, who happened to be black, didnt get the pass that weiss is getting....and it's stupid that the irish still think they are so special that they dont play in a conference and just get creamed every week against quality teams. but you know what? weiss is going to get a pass and be back next season.
i don't think the irish have much talent. and that's regardless of what mel keiper and all the other inet recruiting gurus say....those guys are just idiots! they put these best recruiting classes on schools and they never pan out...it's just silly! i dunno why we listen to 'em?

I don't feel sorry for him just like I don't feel sorry for Bobby Bowden. These teams are classic teams but the coaches just have to rebuild after loosing all of their seniors and they eventually will. Good coaches will.
..and if anyone has been watching FSU this season, looks like Bobby is on his way to doing so soon

Besides the Yanks losing in the 1st round of the playoffs, I have to say it's the best thing to happen in sports this year.

Uh...The difference is his first 2 years, they were actually a winning team...This year, they just really suck...but its hard to believe they could fall so low in a year...If they don't turn it around next year and win a bowl game, fatboy is gone...
