(x^2 + 4 x --60)/ (x^2 --36)

( x+10) (x --6)/ ( x+6) ( x --6)

The simplified answer is = ( x +10)/ (x+6)

(x+10)/(x-6). when you have the equation take the top and factor it into (x+10)*(x-6), then the bottom, (x-6)*(x-6), so you get (x+10)*(x-6)/(x-6)*(x-6), then the (x-6) cancel and you get (x+10)/(x-6) which is in its simplest form.
