Counter Strike, Age of Empires III, Vanguard, and Everquest II are decent games that I play. If you like roleplay type games, VG and EQII are the way to go.

For me its:

FPS - Counter Strike Source / Half Life 2 Series
RPG - Oblivion
RTS - Command and Conquer 3 / Command and Conquer Generals / Medieval Total War
Puzzle - Portal

Oblivion has hundreds of hours of potential gameplay. If you're looking for a shooter, you could do much worse than Half-Life 2.
Currently, I'm playing Lost Planet: Extreme Condition and it's not too shabby.

OMG if you have like an HD computer you should play Resident Evil 4 ohhhh that game is soo awesome play it on halloween you will like freak out lol so yeah and there is some other i am thinking of but i forgot which one they were so yeah Resident Evil 4 is the only one i can think of lol so yeah

World in Conflict is good.

I like adventure games though, so waiting for a good one to come out again.

If your looking for a good game that you'll play forever play counterstrike. i've been playing for a couple years and it never gets old

World of Warcraft is pretty popular RPG.
Solitare and Minesweeper r pretty good too and free.
